I hadn't heard the specifics of 'physiological drought', in plants, but Wow! It's an amazingly accurate metaphor for us humans moving through stress and not taking time to 'drink refreshing water' that's readily available to us.

It truly shows the importance of taking care of yourself.

And how it's a culmination of small, life-giving things, built into our days, that make a difference when the stress arrives.

This analogy is going to stick with me🌱🌿

Years ago in a high stress job, under constant deadline, driving 150 miles per day, I lost it after being stuck at a red light. A torrent of profanity spilled. A woman waiting at the corner spoke through my open window, "Calm down." It was the beginning of accepting available water. I wish I could thank her. Instead I thank you 💙
